Kudos to Chick-fil-A

Service in the food industry…where has it all gone? Apparently it has left almost every other food chain and all landed at Chick-fil-A. Check this out.

This report just came in from Leslie. Our baby-sitter, Amanda, was heading over to our house just before lunch to watch our girls for the rest of the day. On the way she picked up some lunch at Chick-fil-A for herself and our girls (downtown Auburn, AL location). When she got to our house and pulled all the food out of the bag she saw that her order was off…they gave her the Chicken Mini’s instead of the nuggets she ordered for the girls (by the way those chicken mini dudes are amazing with some jelly on ‘em).

So Amanda called back to Chick-fil-A and let them know her order was messed up and asked about taking it back (Amanda…you crack me up girl). OK, now get this. The person at Chick-fil-A apologized for the mistake…got directions to our house…GOT IN THE CAR AND DELIVERED THE CORRECT ORDER TO OUR HOME!!!! Can you believe this. And they even gave her a coupon for a free meal on her next visit!

Amazing huh. I was so encouraged to hear this story. It gives us a great picture of a servant…someone who goes out of their way…does something that nobody expects…considers someone else better than themselves…looks not only to their own interests but to the interest of someone else.

So Chick-fil-A…I’m still yours.
