I've been thinking about the rich man some. I know he loved his money and all, but sometimes I wonder if he understood what in the world was going on. I mean, did the rich man really "get" what he was turning down? People are not going to give up what they have if they don't fully appreciate or understand God and his grace and love and mercy and promises and majesty and powerfulness, etc. Like, if they really KNEW what they were turning away from...would they?
